DENVER ART MUSEUM
A fun day in town visiting the art museum with a quick look at some of downtown Denver. Best thing in the museum was the 'Red Foxes' in the modern art section! There were many other galleries ranging across time with very good exhibits of North American Indian art and fine collections from eastern Asia with interesting exhibits of Chinese art and craft along with those of Korea, Japan and elsewhere from the region. Some good examples of European art through the ages. A nice Edward Lear and some Monet.

A really good provincial art gallery with many clever ideas. It is a large collection spread over several interconnected buildings. Each floor had one or more areas for study set up with relevant reference books and videos with plenty of places to sit and read or investigate further the theme of that gallery or floor. Lots of thing to inspire kids and some clever interactive spaces for them. A dramatic building design for the new extension! I liked the settee set in the Entrance Hall!
